Rainbow International Restoration of Westchester Restores 22 Apartments, Rebuilds 27 Stairwells and Hallways, and Removes All Exterior Smoke Damage at 7 Pines TowerOn January 6, 2021, a four-alarm fire forces families to flee 7 Pines Tower. The following year, the Mayor of Yonkers and the owners of 7 Pines Tower joined Rainbow International Restoration of Westchester, the general contractors for this multimillion-dollar restoration.
The damage at Seven Pines Tower was extensive. Rainbow of Westchester performed a total renovation of 22 apartments, including 19 that were completely gutted, in addition to rebuilding 27 stairwells and hallways. The entire project was completed within 12 months, All work was performed in the midst of COVID-19 social and industrial restraints and a global supply chain crisis, with zero accidents or injuries.

Immediately upon project initiation, Rainbow International Restoration of Westchester performed comprehensive water mitigation, followed by fire and smoke remediation. The Rainbow team then submitted a series of engineering and architectural solutions which would guide the upcoming restoration work.
Rainbow project managers coordinated up to 40 onsite employees and subcontractors at any given time, supervising the installation of new structural steel joists, removal of over 175 tons of construction debris, and upgrading of the building's firestopping systems to protect residents and ensure compliance. A total of 16 permits were filed, including fire cleanup, building, plumbing, and electrical. Within the structure, a complete gut-out of 19 apartmennts was accomplished, along with the total renovation and rebuild of 22 apartments, 27 stairwells, and 27 hallways.
